This very actual article about diagnosing complex systems by sysadmins could have been written in a medical journal.

Diagnosing severely ill patients (very complex systems) under extreme time pressure and incomplete status-information is very similar to the IT case studies discussed.

There exist very similar communication hurdles in both fields.

It would be interesting to work on an equivalent case study in hospitals and then compare the findings.

Kind regards
